Studio by Georgie xoxo - About

Art Historian. Musicologist. Pioneer of the Enchanted Internet.

Hi, I'm Georgie, and I have been quietly building beautiful worlds online since 2009. This is the story of how I got here, why this work matters so deeply to me, and what it truly means to step into my studio.

Where it all began....

MODULE ONE

The beginning of an enchanted education

I have always lived at the intersection of beauty, story and meaning. Studying art history, music history and literature gave me a lens through which I see everything — brands, content, communities — not as marketing problems to be solved, but as living, breathing narratives to be tended with care. That academic foundation never left me. It lives in everything I create.

2009

Lush Cosmetics — where I learned what a brand truly is

At sixteen I walked into Lush Cosmetics in Poole and something clicked into place. Here was a brand built entirely on values, storytelling, ethics and genuine human connection. I learned more about conscious branding, customer relationship and the alchemy of a truly values-led business in those years than I ever could have in a classroom. It shaped everything that came after.

MODULE THREE

Beauxoxo — built from bed, before anyone knew that was possible

By twenty I was becoming too unwell to work in the world in the conventional way. So I built my own. From my bed, with my hands and an Etsy shop, I created Beauxoxo — a handmade accessories brand that grew quietly and then suddenly, spectacularly, into something that caught the world's attention. Featured in Teen Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan. Worn by Little Mix. Championed by Zoë Sugg. A community of devoted customers who felt the love stitched into every piece.

MODULE THREE

The diagnosis that changed everything

In 2018 I was diagnosed with scleroderma — a serious, progressive connective tissue disease — alongside a constellation of ten chronic conditions that had been quietly accumulating for years. The diagnosis explained everything and devastated everything simultaneously. I had been working 6am to 11pm for years, burning myself to ash without knowing why my body was failing me. Beauxoxo had to close. The grief of that was profound — it was not just a business. It was my identity, my community, my proof that I existed and mattered.

MODULE THREE

The quiet that followed — and what grew in it

2020 brought the world to a standstill — and for me, unexpectedly, it brought permission to finally be still too. In that stillness I found the teachers who would change my life: Robert Ohotto, Michael Meade, Sharon Blackie. Myth, soul, archetypal astrology, the deep story beneath the surface story. I began to understand that what I had always been doing — creating beauty, building community, tending meaning — was not just a skill set. It was a calling. And from that understanding, the Academy of the Enchanted Arts was born.

MODULE THREE

The Academy of the Enchanted Arts

The Academy is my sacred dream — an online school devoted to art history, myth, enchanted living and soulful creativity. It is everything my degree, my Beauxoxo years and my illness journey distilled into one beautiful, living offering. It is slow, intentional and deeply personal. It is not separate from my studio work — it is the soul of it. Every client I take on, I bring the same devotion I bring to the Academy. The same reverence. The same refusal to rush.

Today

Studio by Georgie xoxo

Today I work from my home studio in a carefully tended four hour morning window — not as a limitation, but as a deliberate act of artisanship. Chronic illness has not diminished what I offer. It has distilled it. Every hour I give to your work is chosen, intentional and precious. I work with a small number of deeply aligned clients at any one time — soulful teachers, inspired creators, values-led brands — people whose work deserves a guardian, not just a manager.

What I believe

The values that live at the heart of this studio...

  • Beauty is not superficial: Aesthetic care is a form of deep respect — for your work, your audience and your mission.
  • Slow is sustainable: I refuse hustle culture completely. Evergreen, intentional content outlasts any viral moment.
  • Story is everything: Every brand, every mission, every piece of content is a thread in a larger, sacred narrative.
  • Access matters: Beautiful, strategic support should not only be available to those with unlimited budgets.
